Well you have entered the Jolly Roger Pirates Web Competition. You have found yourself asking How can I become a Champion. Well maybe this will help.

The First thing you must do is find one of the Teams Voting Banners or you can make one of your own to use on your sites. Whichever you decide to use A Banner or Text Link, you must Have one of these forms on your website. Please Link it each week to where you are fighting when You get the roster of where you will be fighting. You must have a link To Prevent Disqualification from the Competition All Together. Also You must have A Banner or Text Link to TJR Pirates. These banners let your supporters Know where to Find you when You are Fighting.

Next Thing is to Let people Know that You Are in Competition. Don't Spam People. There are People and Places where you can find supporters out there to Support you. If you are going to send e-mails to Your Friends and such to Vote for You use the Blind Carbon Copy to send them to multiple People so there addresses cannot be seen by others. Also You can Use E-groups or Topica or a List Group like those to keep Track of your Supporters and to send out Reminders to them either on a Daily or Weekly Basis. Or if you like to keep your own list and send them from your E-mail address that is fine as well.

The Next Step is to Sign Guestbooks. One way of Increasing Traffic to your site is by signing Guestbooks. Plus it creates a link to your site so visitors can visit your site from the location of the Guestbook you signed. A guestbook on your site is a good thing as well since there are People in TJR Pirates that love to go out and sign guestbooks to show their spirit, and us pirates love to have our plunder party's.

Spirit Page: Here at The Jolly Roger Pirates we work to Build Spirit. A good thing to Have is a Spirit Page on your site. There you can Keep any gifts that your supporters send you, any sea shanties you post in the Battle Cries Book. This is a Great way as well to make new Friends. Be courteous to others. Go out and visit the other sites that are in competition with you. You might find a new friend and even some one who might support you as well. we can not stress enough the importance of this!!!.

Read all Mail your Team Leader or other staff sends you. Please read the mail you are sent from staff around your team and of course your team leader. They will provide you with the most updated information around the team and The Jolly Roger Pirates.

Go out and Explore. Look around your teams pages. They will be offering lots of fun and games for you to participate in and some other great activities to keep you motivated.

If you follow these great steps during your time with us at The Jolly Roger Pirates you will go a long long way and you might be the Next Pirate Grand Champion.
